The watchword of our wardrobes for the past few weeks has undoubtedly been comfort. Confined, most of us have swapped blouses for crewnecks and clean pants for joggers… or in some cases, nothing at all.
Although it was pleasant for a while, the arrival of good weather makes you want to take out your light clothes and refresh your wardrobe.
If, like me, you want something new, here are some trendy pieces from our favorite Quebec brands.
Natural materials and neutral colors
Linen, tencel and organic cotton are found to our delight everywhere this summer. In neutral, organic tones, they pair easily with almost anything.
Pastels
Essential of the summer season, it is with the greatest pleasure that we find it year after year. This summer, lilacs, peaches and turquoises are on the menu.
Plant motifs
Whether tropical, fruity, floral or botanical, the vegetal print is again in the spotlight this season. Small bohemian flowers, lemons and foliage are found everywhere and go wonderfully with other trends: retro, natural materials, pastel colors, etc.
Bermuda shorts and cropped trousers
Available in many variations: tight, wide, straight, casual or chic, bermuda shorts and cropped trousers can be worn for any occasion. We particularly have a low when worn with a blazer.
The tie-dye
Emblematic of the 70s, this dye returns to the fore this summer. We love it for its artisanal side and the character of its shades which are endlessly available. Rather easy to achieve, this trend is invading our Tik Tok feeds while many are taking advantage of confinement to make their own version, in t-shirts or cotton.
The mask
Essential in these times of a pandemic, our favorite Quebec companies quickly answered the call and developed masks that match current trends.
