Yoga on Unda Board, you know?
It was at St-Jude Espace Tonus in Montreal that I had the chance to try a Pop Yoga session on Unda Board last February. Or simply, yoga while balancing on an indoor board.
I know, it might come as a surprise to many, especially since I've never done yoga in my life and my flexibility is far from my greatest asset. Get out of your comfort zone, they say?
Well, I surprised myself…loving it!

The boards in question are made in Montreal by the company Unda Sup. In addition to being beautiful, handmade and eco-responsible, Unda Boards allow you to add a touch of novelty to your training, mainly that of your stabilizing muscles. By its swaying, they will certainly remind you of the feeling of surfing.

Being all a little intimidated in front of these wooden planks when we arrived, we were quickly given confidence by our teacher Amélie, who, in addition to radiating contagious energy, reminded us that it was above all a personal challenge.
It is after a few movements that we really begin to tame our balance and become comfortable. Stress having given way to relaxation, it is now easier to empty yourself and focus only on your body. And why not get caught up in the game and imagine being lulled by the movement of the waves for a moment?
A few yoga postures later, the feeling of surpassing oneself is enormous. Stronger from this new experience, I came home refreshed both physically and mentally… and a bit proud!
