For several years, in my family, we have organized a gift exchange for Christmas. It's much simpler than buying a gift for each person who matters to us and we'll tell each other, it's good for the budget. There's also a lack of time to find the perfect gifts.
The way we proceed at home is very simple: we choose a different theme each year and for 2015, surprise, we opted for the Made in Quebec theme! I swear it's not my suggestion, but let's say that I was quickly convinced!
Each member of the family then buys a single gift, according to the previously established budget, and we play a little game the same evening. At home, we often play the same game: the stolen gift. (By the way games, there are a ton of them. Get inspired! )
That said, let me explain my family game: each person drawn has the choice of taking a present from the pile or stealing one that is already unwrapped. The one who has it stolen must pick another one and so on until everyone has a present in their possession and is happy as a chaffinch. The person who was drawn first, the lucky one, has the choice at the very end to take their favorite gift since they couldn't do it at the beginning. We always have a lot of fun!
As you will understand, I must already start thinking about what I will offer during my exchange. For the occasion, I have decided to present to you some finds of beautiful Quebec products that will, I hope, give your family (and mine) some ideas.
