At the heart of the company: Zayat Aroma

ZAYAT AROMA has been a family affair since 1985. It is the story of a father and a son who are passionate and open to the world, but also well anchored in Quebec. This is the family history of the Zayats who came from Egypt, where their surname means “he who makes oil” in Arabic. Now they pass on their love for aromas that have healed the body, soul and spirit for millennia.

The story…

It was after his studies in international political economy that Eloï A. Zayat, the son of Mikaël Zayat, had a call from the heart, that of supporting his father in his creative impulses.

“I have always been involved. When I was 10, we were distilling essential oils with my father and my friends. Everyone was there, we cut in the fields, we produced and we celebrated life. »

This is how, very slowly, ZAYAT AROMA was incorporated on September 21, 2011, International Day of Peace.

“It was my way of life. My father is an artist and a super generous guy, but he has trouble delegating. I couldn't abandon him like that, I wanted to give him back and put forward what he creates. »

And today?

So here they are, well established since 2013 in their Bromont boutique, where they distil essential oils, twenty of which come from Quebec. This is also where they distribute various aromatic products from around the world, in large and small quantities, and then in downright countless varieties. “From drop to barrel” is the bulk of aromas!

The Zayat family travels the world with the goal of establishing rewarding, ethical and reliable relationships with distributors as conscientious as themselves.

The height of happiness, most of their products are certified organic and their origin is always known. Having at heart the values ​​of rigor, integrity and authenticity, they make sure to offer only pure, natural and top quality aromatic products.

In these places, our senses are stimulated from all sides. One of the best organic coffees is hidden there; that of the company Trésors d'Afrique . She is a childhood friend of the family, originally from Rwanda, who transacts everything from her country of origin and who roasts it here. There is also a workshop attached to the boutique, where a glassblower, Anthony Wright, produces custom-made unique essential oil diffusers, as well as pendants that allow you to inhale our favorite scents all day long!

Ah, and there are also synergies of essential oils made to measure by Mikaël Zayat, or which correspond to your astrological sign. Finally, before I forget, there is also a brand new “Musée des aromas du monde” which is being developed there, in collaboration with herbalist Anny Schneider !

And tomorrow? You have to dream...

Eloï says he dreams that one day their aromas will be found in the air of planes, a mode of transport used by everyone, as well as in public toilets, where chemical odors are queens.

And maybe we will see a new store appear on the island of Montreal or in British Columbia? The future will tell us, but for the moment, it is not the projects that are lacking. In the meantime, just order and bring it all to us!
