Although preparing lunches is a little pleasure for some, it is, for the vast majority, a chore that we would like to do without. On the other hand, going to a restaurant or eating in the cafeteria is not the most eco-responsible, nor the most economical.
I have therefore given myself the mission of finding products with a local flavor that will make your mouth water and that will help you reduce your ecological footprint. With these little discoveries, you'll want to cook lunches for the next 9 months...or almost!
The little extra that makes all the difference
Sandwiches and salads are often on the menu when thinking about a take-out meal. They are quick and easy to prepare. On the other hand, let it be said, it can quickly become boring if you don't put a little love into it. Here are some locally flavored ingredients to add to these to make your dinner more appealing.
Mustards from Origine Boréale
The company Origine Boréale offers three kinds of mustards that are out of the ordinary. Add wild mushroom, berry or forest mustard to your sandwiches so they never lack flavor again. Also dare to vary the breads, vegetables and cheeses inside. Enough to make your colleagues jealous of your plate.
You can find them in our shop 2 .
Vinaigrettes from PM-Ö Terroirs et distinction
To add a little something extra to your salads, Lökkö homemade dressings are perfect. The company is inspired by the elements of our northern land when making their products. Decorated with dried fruits, nuts and young shoots for example, your plate of greenery will look great.
You can find them in the Signé Local marketplace and in our Signé Local store in Quartier Dix30.
Les Charlatans syrups
To avoid running to the nearest café when thirsty, remember to take your reusable bottle with you. If you want to add flavor to your water, Les Charlatans concocts syrups without preservatives or coloring agents. These can be used for a multitude of uses in the kitchen, but a few drops in your drink will certainly give it flavor.
You can find them in our Signé Local store in Quartier Dix30.
Practical and ecological accessories
In the bag lunch set
Dans le sac had the brilliant idea of creating a zero-waste lunch set. You will find a 3 in 1 utensil in Canadian wood and a napkin in organic fabrics. The latter can also be used as a placemat and storage for your utensil. Compact, ecological and practical!
You can find them in our Signé Local store in Quartier Dix30.
Snack bags by Omakï
The small plastic bags used for snacks and sandwiches are very practical, it's true. But when you think about it after a year, that's a lot of waste. Simply replace them with reusable pouches. Those of the Omakï company are offered in several colors and sizes. A simple little gesture that makes a big difference.
You can find them in our Signé Local store in Quartier Dix30.
Add to all this a little sweet note hidden in everyone's lunch bag and your lunch prepared with love will make people happy. And who knows, maybe even envious people!
I invite you to visit the Signé Local profile of each company to find out more about their different products.
