Cynthia and Dominique are the two co-founders of the company. They aim to bring healthy cleaning products to life for all families. Cynthia had never thought of starting a business offering household products, although she always had business skills. It was at a turning point in her life that she decided to start a new chapter in the world of housekeeping. It is later that his business spirit will allow him to create Abieze. Its name is due to a brainstorming session highlighting smells that reminded them of the terroir of Quebec. One of them stood out: the fir tree, abies from its Latin name. “With a little more jazzy twist, we transformed it into a new word, the one that still follows us today, abieze. »

FROM INSPIRATION TO CREATION

In their company, the co-founders give a central place to discussion, it is what allows them to create and stay inspired by putting forward a multitude of ideas. Moreover, creativity occupies a place of honor within the company and is one of the qualities that allow Abieze to stand out. The fact of working together and highlighting the human potential of each is what also allows the company to move forward better. “It touches me to see talented people in their field. Abieze products are natural, ecological and biodegradable cleaning products that help keep the air better. Each product created by the company responds to a specific purpose and its own story. If Cynthia had to choose a product to keep for the rest of her life, it is without a doubt black soap that she would choose. “We manufacture it entirely at our premises and we will soon have, from our desire to source locally, a black soap with an oil from a resource that grows here, in Quebec. This soap is a multidisciplinary degreasing product. It can be used to nourish wood, clean floors or to make cleaners, dish soaps or laundry detergents. »

PROJECTS AND EXPANSION

At the beginning of the year, the company moved following a major expansion of its activities. This change allows them to create in an efficient laboratory and also to be able to welcome customers for shopping or activities. Their goal is to continue to work with raw materials highlighting the Quebec terroir that will make the difference in their products. They also work on the educational component to demonstrate the benefits of ecological alternatives. They also participate in the EFC program (Economy of functionality and cooperation) in order to propel the circular economy and highlight its impacts.
